Adopt-A-Roadside

By keeping roadsides clear of litter, the appearance of an entire neighborhood is enhanced, instilling pride in the minds of affected residents and property owners.

In 2021, Wedgwood Subdivision adopted a half mile stretch of New Halls Ferry Road, from Lindbergh Blvd north to Concord Drive, as indicated in blue on the map below. Wedgwood is committed to picking up litter along both sides of New Halls Ferry Road.

All residents are encouraged, and welcome, to participate.

The final pickup day for 2024 is:

  • November 2

Getting Involved

Volunteers meet at 9:00 am at Concord Drive and New Halls Ferry Road, at the site of The Lutheran Church of the Living Christ. Just bring your gloves. Hand-held pickers, reflective safety vests, and trash bags are provided.  St. Louis County picks up the filled bags.

All volunteers must sign a Release of Liability waiver before starting; waivers will be available at the events. If you have already signed a waiver at a past clean-up event, you will not be required to sign a new form. Minors under the age of 14 are not allowed to participate in this program.

This program offers the opportunity for high school students who need to record volunteer hours for the A+ Program through St. Louis Community College.
